As a food reviewer at Foodjoyy, I was immediately drawn to the warmth and inviting atmosphere of Fox and the Fig. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafts through the air, enticing guests to explore the menu. It’s not just a cafe; it’s a local gem that embodies the spirit of community through its friendly service and an array of delicious options.
The lunch menu boasts mouthwatering offerings like the Ham and Cheese for $12.00 and the popular Club EMT priced at $14.00. For breakfast enthusiasts, the selection is equally impressive. The Foxy Scramble—a delectable combination of three eggs, avocado, cream cheese, and bacon on an English muffin toast—stands out at $11.50. Of course, no visit is complete without a sip of their expertly crafted coffee. Whether you prefer a classic Americano or a luxurious Mocha Latte, each cup is brewed to perfection. Customers rave about the floral notes of their cold brew, making it a refreshing pick for any day.

“ Just an awesome little cafe in a small mountain town. Food was fantastic, pastries were delicious, coffee smelled like heaven. ”
“ Awesome place. Staff is super friendly, especially the guy making the espresso bevs. Food was delicious. Nice atmosphere, ample seating, friendly vibes all round. We drove half an hour to stop in on our way back home, happy to have fueled up for a long day in such a great place. ”
“ It's a quaint local spot with great coffee, tasty food, and friendly service. You won't be disappointed! The Turkish eggs are to die for. The bagels are delicious! ”
“ The turkey sandwich changed my life!!! My friend LOVED the lox. Such a sweet spot. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Spruce Pine! ”
“ Excellent location with a variety of food for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Great selection of coffee. Their cold brew has floral notes, which some might enjoy. Excellent customer service with a friendly staff. Make sure to try their gluten-free peanut butter cookies! Delish! ”
“ Awesome spot in a small town. We were here for a wedding and needed some coffee - didn’t expect to find food and a vibe. Bustling coffee shop with breakfast, lunch, and brunch. Eclectic mix of chairs and seating for singles and groups, indoor and out. Caramel latte was perfect. Brunch the first day was alright - biscuit was a little dry and the gravy was a little floury. I hate we got it to go because the ambience is half the experience here. Went back before we headed out of town on Sunday, and the SANDWICHES are incredible. Their bread is amazing - none of that too-crunchy mouth-cutting artisan sourdough here. EMT or English Muffin Toast is their creation - not fully on board with the English muffin comparison, but is indeed chewy and holy and delicious. Coffee great, food great, service great. Awesome spot that made our trip into Spruce Pine. We’re from a small town so I wish we had a spot like this! Make sure you drop by. ”
“ Noah's hospitality is absolutely amazing. We watched in admiration as he assisted an elderly lady not only to the door, but safely to her car! And...The food is gourmet! ”
“ Absolutely love this place! I really appreciated that the delicious sandwich I ordered came with nice thick slices of bacon. The coffee and oatmeal chocolate chip cookie were both delicious as well! The cafe has a really nice atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while and the service was great! I live in Burnsville but I will definitely come back here whenever I’m in Spruce Pine. ”
